Based out of Alberta, Canada, Spencer serves as our marketing automation guru. He manages and implements automation and tracking for our ActiveDEMAND users, and he also works in Active Campaign and HubSpot.
Spencer has the brain power for marketing automation success. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and his web developer certification from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Since then, he’s worked in relevant roles, from independent web developer to ActiveDEMAND customer success rep to automation specialist with ADHOME.
Spencer knows it’s easy for clients to get lost in all the technical aspects of marketing and marketing automation—and he loves demystifying the process.
He says, “When it comes to marketing automation, I think it’s more important to understand the ‘why.’ We can handle the ‘how.’ The purpose behind marketing automation is to cut down on manual tasks, track the entire prospect journey from first touch to conversion, and report on the results of our marketing initiatives. If at any point in the journey a prospect touches an asset that is not tracked by the system (for example, a phone number or web form), then it makes it difficult to accurately report on the results of your campaigns and what brings the largest ROIs—which is a fundamental reason why you would consider partnering with Senior Living SMART in the first place.”
One of the things that Spencer loves most about his work with SLS is the team. “Every person I interact with on the team is a delight and makes working enjoyable,” he says. “The team is also eager to help me learn new skills.”
Outside of work, Spencer enjoys playing and writing music, working in the yard, doing woodworking, and spending time in Sicamous, B.C.
