Karri got her start in marketing in the early aughts, long before HubSpot, Twitter, and smartphones were even a thing. She’s watched the industry evolve—and has evolved along with it, gaining valuable expertise along the way.
Karri also brings something else to the marketing table: She has experience on the agency side and the in-house marketing side. So she gets how all the pieces and players work together (and when and where the traffic jams can occur). This keen insight is integral to her role with Senior Living SMART. “As an account manager,” Karri says, “I understand where clients are coming from and the expectations and demands placed on them.”
She also has a solid understanding of the senior living industry, particularly the audience it markets to. “Over the past nine years, I’ve worked in 55+ living, from large master planned communities to smaller community projects,” she says. “This audience is smart. They know what they want and value, and they’re not afraid to ask for it.”
Karri says she’s equally impressed with her SLS colleagues. “I feel like the team is committed to finding the best way to execute marketing strategies to achieve client goals. If something isn’t working, we don’t just accept that; we find a better way.”
When she’s not wrangling marketing projects into submission, Karri spends her time chasing around two kiddos. She’s also forever completing a project on her family’s almost 100-year-old home in Tampa Bay, Florida.
In addition to managing client accounts, Karri also heads up SLS’s marketing. Her excellent organizational skills and cheerful persistence have wowed us from the get-go and help keep the entire SLS team on track.
Anything I don’t have to cook or clean up. :)
